The Munsons of Texas — Maps

YELLOW — site of Villa Gayoso, the supposed birthplace of Henry William Munson; GREEN — Natchez; PURPLE — Wilkinson, the area that became Wilkinson County, Mississippi; BLUE — Thompson's Creek, the west fork of which was just east of the Munson land grants; RED DOT — approximate site of the Munson land grants; PINK — Rapid (Rapides District) that became Rapides Parish, and where the Munsons lived before moving to Coahuila and Texas in 1824. Also in Rapides Parish was Lunenburg, the Pearce plantation.
