Topo map of Gulf Prairie on both sides of Highway 36 between Clemens State Farm and Jones Creek. The overlay is from a copy of the 1832 field notes on Oakland Plantation, and is placed in the location indicated in those notes. The size may not be accurate. However, when the field notes image was enlarged to fit the width of the clearly visible long strip, the height fit perfectly. Using the map scale to make a rough estimate of width in yards and converting to varas results in a figure within 100 varas of that shown on the field notes.
