The Munsons of Texas — Maps
This 1824 map of Texas (in French) is interesting because it was published the year the Munsons moved from Rapides Parish, Louisiana, to the Trinity River settlement in Coahuila and Texas. Rapides (highlighting added) was the settlement on the Red River at the site of the rapids for which Rapides Parish was named. Lunenburg, the Pearce plantation, was south and slightly east of this location. Also highlighted is the approximate site of the Trinity River settlement.
